I WENT TO THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM IN NEW YORK TODAY!!! IT WAS AWESOME!! i'll do a separate blog post with my art from today, but here's pictures of some of the fossils i drew:

omg when i tell you that today was like one of the best days of my life I MEAN IT!! i literally dragged my family around the dinosaur exhibits (tbh just the fossil exhibits in general) for the best part of 3 hours before i agreed to go anywhere else, to the point that they actually just left me alone at one point to just draw the fossils in the room... it was super awesome sauce!!! anyway i got to talk nonstop about my favorite dinosaurs for hours with basically no consequences so i'm happy haha!

my brother ended up getting pretty bored in the dioramas so he ended up doing impressions of every single animal he came across - we very nearly got in trouble after he fully sprinted across the hall while pretending to be a turtle swimming away from some sharks (here's the diorama for reference)

my camera roll is now completely full of his animal impressions...

anyway like every part of this museum was so cool to look at, especially the fossils and the sealife dioramas!! getting to draw fossils from life was also super cool - if you're an artist who loves dinosaurs, and conveniently happens to be in new york, i would 100% recommend just pulling up with a sketchbook and drawing any fossils that interest you! i had a super fun time, 10/10 would recommend!! rahhhh i love dinosaurs
